Wanda Jean Obituary, Death – We would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to Wanda Jean Head’s family and friends in Kingsport, Tennessee, on the occasion of Wanda Jean Head’s passing. Wanda Jean Head was a resident of that city. She passed away on November 13, 2022, when she was 85 years old, and she was survived by a close-knit group of family and friends who will miss her deeply.

Her husband David Head, her brothers Leonard Vanzant (Virginia) and Harold “Winford” Vanzant, and her nephew Michael Vanzant all passed away before she did. Her parents, Isaac Leonard and Opal Pearl Benton-Vanzant, as well as her husband David Head, were all deceased before she did. Her nephew Michael Vanzant is the only living relative she leaves behind.
She is survived by her son Roy Head and his wife Delores; her granddaughters Katrina Head and Kristina Kelly as well as their respective husbands; her grandmother Deloris “Poodle” Millins; her siblings Kate Chambers and Jack Vanzant as well as their respective spouses; her niece Charnita Adams and her husband Kelly; and her great-nieces and great-nephews Kristin Graham (Travis), Kayla Adams, Brittany Sloan
The Gravelly Baptist Church will be hosting a visitation on the evening of November 17th, 2022, beginning at 5:00 PM and continuing until 7:00 PM. This event is scheduled to take place on the 17th of November (647 Gravely Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660). On November 18th, 2022, at eleven in the morning, there will be a funeral service held at the same location.
The service will be held in memory of the deceased. A memorial service will be held on the 18th of November, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. in front of the grave of the deceased at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Oak Hill, California. In lieu of, the family has requested an alternative.
