Wally Colson Obituary, Death – It is with a heavy heart that I have to break the news to you that Wally Colson, who was Georgia Christian School Class Of 1955 Student has died. I am sorry for the loss you have suffered. Wally was considered a member of the GCS clan and thus a part of their extended family. Wally Colson was a significant figure in the development of Georgia Christian School in a variety of different ways. This was especially true during the school’s early years.
To name just a few of his many contributions, he was one of the most generous benefactors to the organization, made a contribution to the construction of our gymnasium in the 1950s, and started Colson Printing in the building that houses the Industrial Arts program, to name just a few of his many accomplishments. During the 1950s, Wally Colson was also involved in the construction of our gymnasium in some capacity. Despite the fact that he had a reputation for making people laugh, he took his responsibilities to his family and to Georgia Christian School very seriously. Although he was known for making people laugh, he took his obligations to his family and to the school very seriously.
Because he can claim kinship to the people who founded the school and because he has several great-grandchildren who are currently enrolled at GCS, it is fair to say that they belong to the same family. He can also claim kinship to the people who founded the school. In addition to this, he has familial ties to the individuals who established the school. During this trying time, we would like Mrs. Barbara Colson and the rest of the Colson family to know that each member of the Colson family, as well as the entire Colson family, is in our thoughts and prayers. The loss of Mr. Colson will be deeply felt. I will continue to keep each and every one of you in my thoughts and prayers, and I will ask for the love, as well as the courage and strength, that each and every one of you needs. You are honoring him and paying tribute to the legacy that he has left behind by acting in this manner.
