Trinity Backus Obituary, Death – Only one day after it was reported that Trinity Backus was missing, her body was found on Friday in Northern California. She had been dead for 16 years at the time of her death. The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office has indicated that there is “nothing odd” about her demise at this point, despite the fact that the reason of her death is still a mystery at this point. Backus was reported missing on Thursday after no one had heard from her since the night before, when she left her aunt’s house wearing just her pajamas and without her shoes.
Backus was last seen leaving her aunt’s house wearing only her pajamas and without her shoes. The authorities found her dead a mere half a mile to the north of her aunt’s house, where she had been spending the night with a friend. The house is located in the same neighborhood. There has been no attempt made to provide any explanation on the circumstances surrounding Backus’ departure from the house on Wednesday night.
The county coroner’s division will investigate the circumstances surrounding her passing and perform an autopsy on her body as part of their duties. Today, search and rescue personnel spotted Trinity shortly after 2:00 p.m., but regrettably, it was determined that she had already gone away before they could reach her. Trinity was located around a half mile to the north of the property where she had been seen the most recently. She was found in a very heavily wooded river drainage region.
The circumstances surrounding her passing are a mystery, and there is currently nothing that should raise any red flags about her death. Our coroners division will conduct a thorough investigation into the incident, and the autopsy will be a component of that investigation. We have been in communication with the family, and we want them to know that we are thinking about them and that we are giving our heartfelt condolences as they deal with the death of their loved one.
We respectfully request that you do not intrude in any way into their personal space in any form. Our deepest gratitude goes out to the hundreds of volunteers who have dedicated their time and energy to this search on behalf of organizations that are located all around Northern California.
