Tom Rice Obituary, Death – The passing of Tom M. Rice, a friend of Domaine Airborne and a former member of the parachuting team for the 101st Airborne Division, occurred not too long ago. The news of his passing has left us all with shattered hearts. On June 6, 1944, Tom and the other men of C-501 successfully parachuted into the region surrounding Domaine Airborne. They went on to play an important role in the liberation of Carentan, which occurred a few days later after the battle had already begun. In recent years, Tom has been held up as a model citizen and given the title of hero in Carentan.
Part of the reason for this is due to the fact that he carried out the aforementioned deed. When Tom, who was then 97 years old, fell from the sky over the country of Carentan for the second time in the year 2019, a significant number of photographs captured the event and were distributed across the globe. During both Operation Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge, Tom served as a member of the armed forces. In addition, he took part in the fighting that took place during the Battle of the Bulge. He had a reputation for being a tough guy who was always ready to fight for what he believed in. He was 101 years old back then, and he is still 101 years old now.
