Tim Murphy Obituary, Death – Yesterday evening, Tim Murphy passed away while he was resting comfortably, and it is with great regret that the Pratten Park Magpies share this news with the rest of the community. The passing of Tim Murphy occurred late last night.
Timmy, a local Junior from Burwood United, graded with our Club in 1967. Timmy was a member of the club at the time. Timmy was a junior player for Burwood United Juniors when he was younger.

Following that, he went on to play a total of 123 games across all Grades, including 67 First Grade games between the years 1967 and 1971, in addition to one more season in 1975. In 1975, he also played one more season. In addition, Timmy was a part of another playing season in 1975, which took place in the year 1975.
Tim was a member of the Balmain Football Club for a total of three seasons, beginning in 1972 and continuing through 1974, prior to finishing his career with the North Sydney Bears in 1976. These seasons began with 1972 and continued through 1974.

Tim was the epitome of a gentleman and a dear friend to each and every one of us, in addition to being an outstanding football player. He will be greatly missed by all of us. It goes without saying that Tim was an outstanding athlete, particularly on the football field.

His presence at our reunions, and in particular on the Northern Beaches bus that travels to and from the reunions, will unquestionably be sorely missed and felt to a profound degree by all of us. This is something that can be stated without any shadow of a doubt at all.
Those who have expressed interest in attending the funeral service will be informed of the specifics of the service as soon as they become available.

In one of his works, Yeats provided readers with the following piece of advice: “Think where man’s glory most begins and ends, and say my glory was that I had such friends.”
