Terry Gatlin Obituary, Death – After hearing the news that our Reserve Officer Terry Gatlin had passed away at Mizell Memorial Hospital this morning, we were left with heavy hearts. During this trying time, we want his family to know that we are thinking about and praying for them. During this trying time, we want Terry’s family and friends to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Reserve Officer Gatlin has been volunteering his time and providing assistance to the Opp Police Department with a wide variety of events and activities ever since March 1, 2003.
This category includes a wide variety of events and activities, some examples of which include assisting with school traffic, assisting at football games, volunteering at the Rattlesnake Rodeo, and participating in Opp Fest. These are just a few examples of the kinds of events and activities that fall into this category. Reserve Officer Gatin made it a priority to be accessible to us as soon as possible whenever we had a question or required his assistance. He was always there for us when we needed him. He did this for us in order to solve our problems as quickly as possible thanks to his actions.
His wife, Sonya, is still working as a Dispatcher for our organization, in spite of the fact that a significant amount of time has passed since she started in that role. During this difficult time, we ask that you keep Sonya and his family, as well as Opp PD, in your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate your consideration. Also, we would appreciate it if you could keep us in your thoughts. Would it be possible for you to keep us updated on how you are doing at regular intervals? We would greatly appreciate it.
