Volunteer work was something that Tamara felt very strongly about. Both Zilber Family Hospice and Waukesha Memorial Hospital had her on staff as a chaplain at one point or another. She never put herself ahead of others. She was a teacher at Beaver Dam Elementary Schools for a number of years, and she also coached cheerleading for a number of years. She had a passion for exploring new places, particularly in Florida. Her passion for running led her to compete in a number of 5Ks and half marathons.
Her family was the most important thing in her life, and she delighted in spending time with her grandson, Eli. She never stopped dancing and just recently became a member of the Milwaukee Dancing Grannies. Tamara had already earned master’s degrees in both education and theology, and she was working toward earning a doctorate in theology. She gave the gift of life to others by donating organs, and her legacy will live on in the form of continued humanitarian efforts.
