Everyone reading this knows that they are in our thoughts and prayers. The effect that distressing information that also comes as a surprise has on us is multiplied many times over whenever, in addition to being distressing, it also manages to catch us by surprise in some way. It is hard to believe that exactly one week ago, on that same day, we were on the verge of wrapping up our conversation with her.
