Russell Flakes Obituary, Death – After passing away on November 14, 2022, Russell A. Flakes, who was 72 years old at the time of his death, was laid to rest following his passing. His parents, Josie and John A. Flakes, who have since passed away, brought him up in the town of Millen, which is situated in Burke County and is where he was born. His whole life has been spent in Burke County, where he currently resides. His religious affiliation was Baptist, and he was the only employee as well as the lone proprietor of Flakes Auto and Trucks.
In addition, he was the sole driver for the company. His mother and father, along with his two brothers, Arnold and Ellis Flakes, and his sister, Joan Bell, all went away before he did. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was the fifth and final kid in the family. Along with his grandparents, his great-grandparents were removed from this earth before he was even born. His surviving family members include his wife, Judy Babb; his four children, Russell Flakes, Jr. (Kelly) of Waynesboro, Jennifer Alexander (Clay) of Keysville, Jason Flakes (Alana) of Waynesboro, and Ashley Rodriguez (Danny) of Hephzibah; his ten grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Marissa, Josey, Jenna Grace, Avery, Brayden, Langston, and Mollie; his six great grandchildren; and his brother.
On Friday, November 18, at twelve o’clock in the afternoon, Memorial Services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home to honor the deceased. The Reverend Greg Coursey and the Reverend Bruce Allen will each take turns presiding over the event as the co-presiding pastors. Friends will have the opportunity to express their condolences to the family beginning one hour before the start of the event. Both the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are worthy recipients of memorial contributions that can be made in his name (AFSP).
