Magdalena Hernandez and Arturo Hernandez welcomed their son Ruben into the world on July 31, 1962 in Big Spring.
Ruben was a devoted family man who possessed a great deal of modesty. He embraced every moment of life and did so with enthusiasm. He had a tremendous amount of affection for his children, brothers, and the rest of his family and friends. Ruben was a one-of-a-kind individual. He was entertaining and always had a good one or two up his sleeve, as well as a few anecdotes that he would take with him. He was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to this, he had a lot of affection for his brother Carlos since he looked out for him all the time, gave him a lot of money, and provided him with a lot of vehicles.
David Hernandez of Austin, Ruben Hernandez Jr. (Maria) of Austin, Jennifer Hernandez of Austin, Laura Olvera (Christopher) of Austin, Robert Aldridge of Colorado, and Amanda Nieto (Adam) of Big Spring are among Ruben’s surviving children. He is also survived by seven brothers: Arthur Hernandez (Melinda), Felipe Hernandez, Carlos Hernandez, Rodolfo Hernandez (Lupe), Federico Hernandez, and Rogelio Hernandez (Amy); two sisters:
Ruben’s mother and father, Arturo Hernandez and Magdalena Hernandez, as well as his sister Norma Hernandez and brother Bobby Gonzales, as well as his maternal grandparents, Jose and Petra Hernandez, and his paternal grandparents, Antonio and Leonor Hernandez, all passed away before him.
We shall always hold him in our hearts and treasure all of the memories that he has left for us to remember him by. Fly high, Ruben, and may you finally find some rest.
