Rod Waatson Obitury, Death – Mr. Rodney Grey Watson, who had spent the majority of his life in the city of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away in the city of Carolina Beach, North Carolina, on the 9th day of April, 2022. He had reached the age of 64. Mr. Watson entered this world in Surry County on April 29th, 1957.

His birthday is April 29th. At this point in time, both of his parents, Adolphus Watson and Virginia Earlene Hooker Watson, have transitioned on to the next life. Rodney was a devoted friend, brother, father, and grandfather in addition to being a devoted husband. He was also devoted to his wife. Additionally, he was extremely devoted to his wife.

The passing of this man will leave a profound void in the lives of all those who were fortunate enough to count him as a friend. His wife of 42 years, Sandra McNeal Watson, his two sons, Matthew Grey Watson and Marc Allen Watson, his only grandchild, Kayden Watson, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ronda Watson Lewis and Robert, and Carol Watson Coudon and Joseph, a niece and nephew, Renee Sineath and David Rominger, and Daniel Sineath, along with a number of other nieces and nephews, are the only members of his family who are able to carry on his legacy

The Reverends Rusty Reed and Bill Watson will preside over the funeral service that will be held at Little Mountain Baptist Church on the afternoon of Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. The funeral will be held in memory of a loved one who passed away. The funeral service will come to a close, and then the deceased person will be laid to rest at the Watson Family Cemetery in the following morning.

At the request of Mr. Watson’s family, his body will lie in state at Little Mountain Baptist Church on Thursday, April 14, 2022, beginning at one o’clock in the afternoon and continuing until two o’clock in the afternoon. This viewing will take place on the same day. The family is receiving assistance from Moody Funeral Services, which is located in Mount Airy, as they go through this difficult time.
