Robert Leap Obituary, Death – Robert Leap, who was 76 years old and lived in Lilly, passed away at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Altoona on February 16, 2022. He was born on May 19, 1945 in the community of Lilly, and his parents were Robert J. Leap and Alberta (Moreland) Leap. Among the members of his family who have passed away are his parents as well as his brothers David and Larry. Those who were close to him and cared deeply about him, such as his devoted wife of 52 years, Barbara (Messelod) Leap, as well as their daughters Celeste, Jeannie (Ronald George), Dana (Mike Pinos), and Susan, will be among the people who will miss him.
The loss of their grandfather will be deeply felt by his grandchildren, Lily George, Henry Rein, and Abraham Rein. I have been the owner of Leap Auto and Hardware as well as the person in charge of running the business for more than half a century. I was a member of the United States Army for a while. He enjoyed going fishing, tinkering with cars, and spending time with his family in his spare time. Robert specifically requested that there be no viewings or visitors after his passing, so we will honor his wishes in that regard.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Polish National Catholic Church in Lilly. Friends and family are invited to attend. Fr. Scott Lill, celebrant. The military rites that are to be performed at the funeral will be done so by the Lilly Veterans Organization. The act of committing the crime will take place behind closed doors.
