Robert Kiefer Obituary, Death – On November 16th, 2022, Robert Kiefer, 59, a loving father and husband, died unexpectedly. In Linden, NJ, he was raised by Joseph M. Kiefer, Sr. and Gisela E. Langhans. As a child, Robert worked as a landscaper and carpenter and attended Linden High School. Robert began his career as a Senior Correctional Officer at Rahway State Prison, where he worked for 29 years before retiring in 2014. After retiring, he enjoyed his job at Pinebelt Cadillac. Beverly (Mapps) Kiefer first became aware of him while he was a student at D.O.C. Beverly’s beauty and strength captivated Robert, and he vowed to spend the rest of his life by her side.
Robert and Beverly’s children are Thomas Kiefer, Katelyn Klein, Matthew Kiefer, Hanna Kiefer, and Daniel Roman. Everyone who knew and loved him will mourn his passing. Please know that he loved each and every one of you. Robert had a positive impact on many people’s lives as a mentor, role model, caring brother, supportive uncle, adoring husband, and loving father/grandfather/godfather. As a community leader and coach, he was well-known. His wife, Beverly, survives him. Thomas Kiefer and Julie, his fiancée, are his children and their spouses.

His siblings are Joanne O’Brien and her partner Jim. Joseph Kiefer, Jr. and Kris Kiefer Her sister is Carol Guervarez. His nieces and nephews include David Rinz, Jonathan, Michael, Katie, Paige, Anthony, Elizabeth, Ryan, and Rebecca. Quinn, Quinn’s granddaughter, Joseph M. Kiefer, Sr., and Gisela E. Langhans preceded him in death. Karen Rinz, Stephen Pirkowski’s stepfather, is her sister. Viewing will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721. The funeral will be held at St Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave., Colonia, NJ 07067, on Tuesday, November 22nd at 11:00 a.m.
