Robert Dorries Obituary, Death – This morning, we were informed of the passing of Robert Dorries, who had served on the Board of Directors of the Glen Oaks Volunteer Ambulance Corps in the past and was a Life Member of the organization. Robert was another member of the organization who held a Lifetime Membership. It is with deep regret that we have to share this information with you, but unfortunately, things are as they are. We would like for his family, friends, and loved ones to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time.
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Bob has been working for GOVAC for over three decades, and during that time he has held a variety of positions within the organization, including those of Dispatcher and Emergency Medical Technician, and most recently, the position of Crew Chief. In addition to this, he has been a significant source of inspiration for a sizeable number of other EMTs and former members of the organization. Along with Bob’s hilarious sense of humor, his incredible loyalty and dedication to both his friends and the GOVAC will be sorely missed. On April 15, 2019, Bob passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.
Bob passed away on April 15, 2019, after a battle with cancer. In addition to this, we will always hold a warm sentiment toward him because he had access to such a vast amount of knowledge.
At this time, arrangements are still being worked out, and we will provide additional information as it becomes available to us. In the meantime, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. While this is being worked out, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We ask that you please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause while we work to resolve this matter.
