Reg Archer, who had previously held the positions of Captain and President of the organization, had passed away not too long ago, and the club was informed of his passing not too long ago. He was in charge of both of those responsibilities for a substantial amount of time. The club is in an extremely unfortunate state as a direct result of this, which is a direct consequence of the fact that this occurred.

In 1979 and again in 2001, Reg was the leader of the Port St. Mary Golf Club in his capacity as Captain. During those two years, he oversaw the operations of the organization as its leader. During those two years, he served as the leader of the organization and was responsible for overseeing its day-to-day operations. After that, he was chosen to serve as President of the club the following year, 2011, and he continued to fulfill the responsibilities associated with that role the following year, 2012.
