Raymond Wiseman Obituary, Death – On Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the age of 86, Raymond O. Wiseman, who resided in Talcott, passed away at the home he had owned for many years. Prior to his death, he had been battling disease for a considerable amount of time until he passed away. His birthday is June 14th, and he was born in the county seat of Summers County, which is Mountain View. Both of his parents passed away before he was born; their names were Perry Alexander and Margaret Thompson Wiseman. He was his parents’ son.

Raymond was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Talcott in addition to his service as a sailor in the United States Navy during World War II. The Trinity United Methodist Church is located in Talcott. He was honored for his service with a medal because of the commitment that he had shown to his country. After working for the C&O Railway as a Train Dispatcher and Telegraph Operator for 41 years, he made the difficult decision to call it a career and retire after all of those years of service to the firm. Farming, square dancing, and woodworking were some of his passions, but the time he spent with his family and friends was the time he cherished the most.

All three of the man’s brothers, John, Howard, and Denver Wiseman, had already left before he did. The man himself was the last to leave. They had a total of five children, and he was the fourth one of their brood. His wife of 65 years, Leola Bennett Wiseman, his children, Thomas E. Wiseman and wife Barbara of Ashland, KY, Judith C. Bolton and husband Randy of Lerona and James D. Wiseman and wife Jodi of Columbia, MD, and his seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Matthew, and Jennifer Wiseman, Eric Bolton and wife Adair, Kevin Bolton and wife Dana, and Stephanie Tipton, are among those who are left behind to honor

Funeral services will be held at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at eleven in the morning to pay respects to a deceased family member.
