Ray Dellecese Obituary, Death – During its twenty years in business, Cottage Street Motors has earned the satisfaction of tens of thousands of clients by consistently delivering first-rate service. While I was working at the car dealership on Veterans Day, Ray informed me, “But you know, you can’t satisfy everyone all of the time.” This was in response to the fact that I was hosting the morning show.

The tragic news of Ray’s passing came at a time when he and his wife were mulling over the prospect of expanding their business and exploring the option of relocating to a property that featured greater square footage. Ray had a reputation for carefully examining every aspect of his money, which was entirely merited.

Sue commented that “he was the most amazing man I’ve ever met in my life” in reference to the individual. “Ray loved people and found peace in helping make dreams come true, particularly for individuals who needed a break or a second chance in life.”One instance of his generous giving occurred when the Mattapoisett YMCA was in desperate need of a new van to replace one that was both antiquated and in terrible technical condition. He was able to provide the YMCA with the funds necessary to purchase the van. The amount of money that was raised did not come close to covering the cost of a van; nevertheless, Ray and Sue were able to save the day by giving one.

Ray was driven by a strong desire to help other people, particularly older citizens and veterans of the armed forces. Ray’s presence can be felt in the lives of a seemingly endless number of people. The unexpectedness of his passing has left all of us with broken hearts, but it also serves as a poignant reminder of the good times we shared together throughout our lives together. The funeral is private.┬áSaunders-Dwyer Funeral Homes in New Bedford is┬áhandling the arrangements. May Ray Dellecese’s memory be eternal, as our deepest sympathies are with his family and friends.
