Randy Dale Caldwell was the youngest of the three children that Darrell and Marty Caldwell had. He was born on June 15, 1968, in Emporia, Kansas. After receiving his degree in business administration from Texas State University in 1993 and beginning his career as an entrepreneur in San Marcos, Texas, he moved to Temple, Texas in 1996 and established himself there as a successful business owner and active community member.
In July of 2000, Randy met the woman he would spend the rest of his life with, Kara. That December, he proposed to her in the midst of the breathtaking winter wonderland that Colorado is famous for. He cherished his role as a father and gave his undivided attention to raising their three amazing children, Caden, Carinna, and Cooper. Whether it was assisting his children with their schooling, coaching their sports teams, instructing them on how to manage a business, or playing flashlight hide-and-seek with them, he took great joy in spending time with his family and being of service to his family.
He enjoyed spending time in nature, going fishing, taking trips to Colorado, and looking for new and exciting experiences. Randy was known for his quick wit, intense loyalty, generous attitude, and enjoyment of a good prank. He also had a superb sense of humor and was a kind man.
Everyone who knew Randy, including his family, friends, business acquaintances, and employees, understood that they could always rely on him. In the service of other people, he lived out his faith with the virtues of intelligence, patience, and kindness. All of those who had the privilege of knowing him will grieve his passing dearly.
Randy is left by his wife, Kara; his children, Caden, Carinna, and Cooper; his parents, Darrell and Marty Caldwell; his brother, Jeff Caldwell; and a large number of nieces and nephews. All of Randy’s immediate family members have passed away.
