PETER GOREY Obituary, Death – Peter Gorey, a player for the DVTTA, fell tragically suddenly on Friday of the previous week. A few days earlier in the timeline that came before this one, he suffered a heart attack. I am in the unfortunate situation of having to break the disappointing news to each and every member of the organization, and I do so with a heavy heart. I apologize for the burden that this places on me. He was 73. During the summer season of 2021, Peter became a member of our squad and almost immediately established himself as a mainstay in the senior pennant and handicap tournaments.
Peter’s first year with our team coincided with the completion of this impressive feat for him. In addition to that, he never, ever skipped out on the Sunday practice that was being held; he was there every single time. Peter was a friendly and passionate competitor who always competed with the appropriate mindset. He was successful in all of his competitions. He was a perennial favorite among the audience. Consistently enjoying oneself while in his company was a source of pure joy. When the game was over, you could always count on him to have a joke ready to tell or a smile plastered across his face. You could always count on him to have a joke ready to tell when the game was over.
A gentleman in every meaning of the word who is also a nice person in general and a brilliant example of what it means to be a gentleman in its purest form. a true gentleman in every sense of the word who is also a good person in general. When he goes away, everyone will feel the loss of him in their own individual and unique way. Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this trying time on behalf of his family and friends. We know this is a tough moment for all of you.
