Peter Cowan Obituary, Death – On Saturday, Peter Cowan breathed his last breath and departed this world. His parents, Thomas Cowan, who had passed away, and Barbara Cowan, who also passed away, welcomed him into the world on March 19, 1944 in Portland, Maine. Both of his parents had passed away at this point. Peter attended the University of Maine in order to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. After that, he attended the University of Akron for his graduate studies and earned a Master of Business Administration degree. Peter held a number of different positions within the companies that were located in and around Carroll County.
He had a passion for the outdoors and was an avid sailor who also piloted airplanes and enjoyed boating. Peter was a young adult when he attained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He had a passion for collecting automobiles, model automobiles, boats, and airplanes, and he enjoyed spending time on Middle Bass Island. He also had a passion for collecting model airplanes. Peter was a Free and Accepted Mason who was a part of the Carroll Lodge 124 in the city of Carrollton.
Peter is survived by his wife, Pat, as well as his longtime companion, Louise Bierdeman; his children, Chad (and his wife Alison), Brigham (and his wife Alyson), and Nicholas (and his wife Beth); his grandchildren, Zoe, Elliot, Annabell, Sarah, Samuel, Claire, and Asher; his sister, Jill Cowan McKenna, and his niece, Caitlin McKenna; as well as his longtime companion, Louise Bier
The family will receive visitors on Thursday from four to five o’clock in the evening at the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, which can be found at 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW in the city of North Canton, Ohio 44720.
