One of his favorite things to do was fish, either from the boat or along the stream, in addition to working on the dairy farm and watering the fields. His favorite place to fish was along the creek. He never skipped a beat when it came to delight in the wondrous world that God had crafted just for him. In addition to that, throughout the course of the year, he took great joy in filling his garden with a diverse assortment of colorful flowers that he had grown himself.

When Pete, who had lived for 62 years when he passed away, exhaled his last breath early on the morning of November 4th, he was surrounded by his family. He had been ill for some time. John, his father, had died before him, and he will be dearly regretted by his family and friends both now and in the future. On the morning of November 16th, 2022, at 10:30 in the AM, there will be a memorial service held in honor of Pete at the Escalon Christian Reformed Church.
