Olivia Miles Obituary, Death – Olivia Miles has passed away. She was born on December 24 in North Carolina to a mother named Lois Ruby and a father named Marvin Ruby, but both of her parents had passed away before she was born. Olivia pursued a career in a variety of fields after graduating from high school. She began her professional life working as a food broker for J/P Brokerage, where she instructed bakery managers and employees on the proper way to bake their products. Later, she transitioned into a position working as an Estee Lauder Counter Manager at Peebles Department Store. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church as well as someone who was involved in the community of Pocomoke City.

One of Olivia’s favorite things to do was square dancing, and it was at one of these dances that she first met Joe, who would later become her husband. She especially looked forward to the opportunity to spend time with her great-grandchildren and grandchildren, but she also enjoyed time spent with her other grandchildren. Olivia was the go-to baker for anything that required sugar, including but not limited to Smith Island Cakes, cookies, and pies. Name it, and she could bake it; if it had sugar in it, she was your baker. Baking was a hobby of hers, and she was particularly renowned for her Smith Island Cakes.

In addition to this, she was highlighted in a segment on Channel 47 titled “Baking with Olivia.” Additionally, Olivia was a Weather Watcher for Channel 47, where she worked. Olivia is survived by her husband, Joseph Miles, who currently resides in Pocomoke City, four daughters, Lois (Mike) Trail of Salisbury, Maryland, Tana Brittingham of Smithfield, Virginia, April (Rick) Russell of Pocomoke City, Maryland, and Lou Ann (David) Burkhead of Gargatha, Virginia; a sister, June (Larry) Davis of Ohio; and four grandsons, Zachary (Karen) Shenton, Austin. Pat Smith, Olivia’s sister, and both of her parents, who adored her, had already passed away before she did. Olivia does not have any siblings.
