Murray Rhoads Obituary, Death – Murray Franklin Rhoads, 58 years old, passed away at the St. Vincent’s Mercy Medical Center in Toledo on November 15, 2022 at 4:39 in the morning. He called the city of Tiffin his home.
Murray Rhoads was welcomed into the world on February 27, 1964, in Fremont, by his late parents, Franklin and Wilma (Smith) Rhoads. Franklin and Wilma (Smith) Rhoads were married.
Among his surviving family members are his two sisters, Deb Raby and Diane Klaiss, both of whom reside in Bettsville and Bucyrus respectively. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, including Brad Klaiss and Robert Klaiss, both of Bettsville; Angie Klaiss of Oak Harbor; Chris Raby of Nevada; Eloise Joyce of Lancaster, South Carolina; Zach Rhoads of Tiffin; Richard Rhoads II of Germany; and Lisa Matthews of California. In addition, he is survived by his cousins, including Richard Rhoads II of Germany.
Before moving on to the Foodtown in Tiffin, Murray worked for a significant amount of time at the Bettsville IGA. He stayed there until it went out of business. After that, he was employed by Kroger in Fremont until the day he was hurt while on the job. He had a great time chitchatting with the different customers who came into the shop as well as working alongside his many fellow employees. Because of his contagious sense of humor, he was able to make other people laugh and smile, and this quality of his will continue to be ingrained in people’s memories of him.
Murray was a very devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Detroit Lions, and the Detroit Red Wings. He was also a fan of the Detroit Pistons. In addition to that, he was a fervent fan of Star Trek as well as the Blues Brothers. In addition to that, he was a music enthusiast who enjoyed listening to jazz and blues, and his favorite musician was Eric Clapton.
Before Murray did, both of her parents, both of her brothers, Richard and David Rhoads, one of her nieces, Monica Rhoads, and one of her brothers-in-law, Gene Raby, all passed away. Monica Rhoads did not only outlive her children but also her parents.
