Michael Whitmore Obituary, Death – Michael Whitmore, who was a resident of Lisbon Falls and was originally from Lisbon Falls, Maine, passed away in the Hospice House in Auburn. Michael Whitmore was a native of Lisbon Falls. In the early morning hours of May 11th, he was brought into this world as the son of George Whitmore and June (Snow), who resided in Brunswick, Maine at the time. Michael received his diploma from Freeport High School in 1973, where he was active in the sports of basketball and baseball throughout his time there. Following his graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and worked his way up to the level of Spec 4 during the course of his service.

The best part of 25 years of his career were spent working as a forklift driver at the paper mill in Lisbon Falls, and the better part of 3 years were spent working as a custodian at LL Bean. Michael took pleasure in spending time with his friends and family. He did this by going fishing and hunting, playing poker with his siblings, going on trips to Mt. Blue with his nephews, and participating in family get-togethers and sing-alongs with Mike Verrill. Mike Verrill was his favorite person to spend time with. In addition to that, he was an avid follower of NASCAR, and his favorite driver was Dale Eanhardt, who raced the #3 and #88 cars.

Before Michael’s time, both of his parents and his older brother, Rusty, had already crossed over to the other side. He is survived by his son Benjamin Whitmore of Freeport, his two daughters Samantha Whitmore of Stow and Jessica Whitmore of Lisbon Falls, his brother Stephen Whitmore of Sabattus, his sister Diana Anderson of Lisbon Falls, and his four granddaughters. In addition, he is survived by his sister Diana Anderson of Lisbon Falls. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Diana Anderson, who resides in Lisbon Falls.
