Michael Nigrin Obituary,  Death – Two independent incidents of gun violence that took place within the course of two days are not connected to one another, according to the Chief of Police for Bazetta Township, who stated that this information. Chief Christopher Herlinger made reference in a statement that was disseminated via email on Friday morning to a man who had been tragically shot in his yard on North Park Avenue late the previous Wednesday. He also made reference to shots being fired Thursday evening in the parking lot of a Walmart on Millennium Boulevard. Both of these incidents occurred earlier in the week.

According to Herlinger, he wants to reassure residents of the neighborhood that the two incidents are unrelated to one another and stand on their own, and he does not believe that there is any immediate threat to the people who live here. He believes this to be the case. The police have stated that they are currently examining the lead that was provided by a neighbor who stated that a man who resided on North Park Avenue was discovered dead after a number of bullets had been fired, and the police are currently looking into the matter. The Trumbull County coroner has identified the person who passed away as Michael Nigrin, who was 53 years old at the time of his passing.

According to the coroner who was called to the site, the manner in which Nigrin passed away is still being investigated. Despite the fact that he had multiple gunshot wounds, it is unclear how he actually died. A complaint came in just before six o’clock in the evening stating that someone was aggressively firing outside of the Walmart in Bazetta, and cops arrived to the scene. According to Chief Herlinger, an individual walked up to a car that was parked in front of the business and opened fire on it before both cars drove away. The police have identified a person of interest in the investigation as a driver who was seen fleeing the scene in a white Jeep SUV, as stated by the police.

According to Herlinger, in order to keep a productive working relationship between our department and Walmart and to maintain a favorable working relationship between our department and the store, Bazetta police will be working a security detail at the store.
