Michael Jenkins Obituary, Death –  According to the statements made by the Coroner for Skagit County, the person who passed away has been identified as Michael Jenkins, a resident of Mount Vernon who was 26 years old at the time of his death. The United States Marshals Service agents opened fire on Jenkins on Thursday afternoon, which ultimately resulted in the tragic realization that Jenkins would lose his life as a result of their actions. On Sunday, an autopsy will be performed on the body of the deceased person in order to determine the circumstances surrounding their passing and determine the cause of death.

Jenkins is accused of opening fire on United States marshals in the 400 block of North La Venture Road at approximately 2:41 p.m., while the marshals were pursuing Jenkins for a warrant for second-degree assault in that area. The occurrence took place close to North La Venture Road in the neighborhood. Jenkins was reportedly in possession of a firearm at the time that the incident took place, as indicated by the reports that were filed by the police. A warrant for Jenkins’s arrest was issued after he was charged with assault in the second degree, which led to Jenkins being charged with the offense. The incident resulted in Jenkins being charged with the offense.

The incident occurred while law enforcement officers were pursuing the person they believed to be responsible for the crime. Jenkins was injured when he was hit by a bullet that was fired by the marshals in response to another shot that had been fired.
