Michael Bergin Obituary, Death – Michael Sean Bergin had been among us for 51 years when he passed away. Mike Bergin was the cherished child and namesake of his parents, Dr. Francis Bergin, Jr. and Mrs. Carol (LeClair) Bergin of Bethesda, Maryland. Mike is survived by his siblings Francis Bergin, III and his wife Kelly of Madison, New Jersey; Katie Bergin and her husband Brian Peterson of New York City; and Erin (Bergin) and Collin Earnst of Foxboro, Massachusetts.

Francis Bergin, III is survived by his wife Kelly. Katie Bergin is survived by her husband Brian Peterson. Colleen Peterson, Aileen Bergin, Aidan Bergin, and Kieran Bergin, as well as Mary Clare Earnst and Liam Earnst, thought the world of their cherished and loyal uncle Mike. He will be greatly missed by a large number of relatives and friends, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Mike’s sense of humor, his insightful comments on greeting cards, his artistic talents, his love of classic rock music, and his passion for sports, particularly the Boston Red Sox, will be things that people remember about him. He received his education at Mater Dei School as well as Georgetown Preparatory School and graduated from both. Mike worked as an usher at The Imagination Stage in Bethesda, Maryland, during the course of the past few years.

On Thursday, the family will be present at the Joseph Gawler’s Sons Funeral Home in Washington, District of Columbia from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and again from 6:00 to 8:00 pm to greet visitors. A funeral service will be performed at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Bethesda on Friday morning at nine o’clock in the morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mike’s name can be donated to the Montgomery County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness in Maryland (namimc.org).
