Melanie Bergstrom Obituary, Death– On November 8, 2022, Melanie “Lanie” (Parker) Bergstrom, who was 76 years old and from Auburn, Indiana, passed away in the Betz Nursing Home in Auburn. She had been battling disease for a very long time. The most of her life was spent in the city of Auburn. Home for her was in Auburn. The 11th of June, 1946 finds Lanie being brought into the world in Kendallville, Indiana. Today marks her 72nd year on this planet.

She attended Waterloo High School and Elkhart College and received her degrees from both. After gaining experience in the medical records departments of Cameron Hospital and DeKalb Memorial Hospital, Lanie was promoted to the position of office manager for Dr. Edwards and Dr. Paul. Both practices employ Lanie. She held positions in the emergency rooms of both hospitals.

Additionally, she worked at the Heart Center Medical Group in Fort Wayne, an establishment in which she possessed a significant amount of competence. On May 22, 1965, Lanie wed Rick Bergstrom, the man she had loved for her entire life. Rick Bergstrom, who was my high school sweetheart. It had been five years since Mom had passed away as a result of her illness when he finally left on May 24, 2009.

Her daughter, Michelle “Shelly” Bergstrom, resides in Auburn; her brother, Jeff Parker, resides in Rome City; her sister-in-law, Vickie Zecca, resides in Garrett; and her nieces and nephew, Brooke, Paul, and Amanda (Steve) Zecca, along with their families, also reside in Garrett. Her sister-in-law, Vickie Zecca, was born and raised in Garrett. Her sister-in-law Vickie Zecca, who lives in Garrett, is one of the people who will live on after her. Her sister-in-law Vickie Zecca, who lives in Garrett, is also still alive.

Her children married Vickie Zecca. Before she left Auburn, Alabama, both of her parents, Mel and Dorothy Parker, had already left. Her family was the last to leave. She does not have any siblings. A visitation will be held on the day before the memorial service, which will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from noon to 1 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services, which is located at 502 North Main Street in Auburn.

The doors will open for visitation one hour before the service. The memorial service will be held on the following day, Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 1 pm. When exactly is not clear. The funeral will take place at the Garrett’s Embrey Cemetery.
