Mary Sweeney Obituary, Death – As soon as we learned that Mary Sweeney, who had passed away over the weekend, had been the mother of Shane, Alan, and Tomas, we were immediately overcome with a profound sense of loss. Mary was the mother of all three of Elizabeth’s sons; she was the one who gave birth to them.
In this trying time, we want her husband Tommy and the rest of her family to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers. During this time, we are thinking of and praying for you.
Throughout the years, Mary has been an incredible source of support and encouragement for both of her sons, the Pearses. In the past, she has also worked for the hurling board as the secretary of the organization. Everyone will experience loss in their own special way in response to her passing.
On Tuesday, November 22, beginning at four o’clock in the afternoon and continuing until eight o’clock in the evening, Mary’s body will be placed in repose at her home in Castlepark. The funeral will take place on Wednesday at noon at St. Michael’s Church in Ballinasloe, and then the burial will take place in Creagh Cemetery. Wednesday is the day that will see both of these events take place. The transaction is scheduled to take place on Wednesday of this week.
On Wednesday, the organization will pay its respects by forming a guard of honor as a way to show its respect for the deceased. Pearses will be the location of the event, which will get underway at 11:30 in the morning and take place there. It will last until twelve o’clock in the afternoon, at which point the remains will be taken to the church for the funeral mass. The second spot was at the entrance to the Creagh cemetery, and it was used immediately before the burial took place.
