Marcus Holmes Obituary, Death – On August 14, an unexpected death occurred at the residence of Marcus Thomas Holmes, who was 41 years old. Marcus was born on August 2, 1981 in Fairfax, Virginia, and he was the first child of a huge family that surrounded him as he grew up. There were dozens upon dozens of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends of the family who attended. Marcus was able to successfully transition this major focus on family into his adult life because he had kept many friendships from elementary school and had acquired close pals in both his career and social life as an adult.

Marcus was born and raised in Herndon, Virginia, and then settled in Ashburn, Virginia, where he raised his family. Marcus received his degree in business administration from Radford University and worked for Accenture for a total of 17 years. Marcus was a strongly loyal individual, and he had an infectiously inclusive character that drew people to him. When you first meet Marcus, it won’t take more than a few minutes for you to feel embraced and welcome. Marcus is survived by his mother Margarete “Rose,” father Gregory, grandparents Tyrone and June, brothers Nicholas and William, sister-in-law Katie, sisters Jasmine and Heather & Kyle, nephews Jayden and Cayden, nieces Addison, Brooklyn, and Willow, and countless other family and friends all over the world whose lives were made better because of his giving heart and loving spirit. Marcus passed away on February 1, 2019.

There will be a memorial service at eleven in the morning. The event will take place on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Saint Matthew’s Episcopal Church, which is located at 201 E Frederick Dr. in Sterling, Virginia 20164. Donations in memory of the deceased may be sent to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which can be found at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
