Lori was born in Atchison, Kansas, on April 2, 1965. Lawrence and Margaret (Cooke) Clark are her parents. She started her education at Atchison’s elementary school and finished high school there in 1983. In order to advance toward her objective of becoming a licensed dental hygienist, Lori enrolled at Johnson County Community College in Kansas City. In 1986, she started practicing in dentistry with Dr. Corrigan. She spent all of 1992 working with Dr. VanDyne. While working for Atchison Dental Associates for 29 years, she started a family in 1993.
Everyone in Lori’s life was aware of her membership in the St. Ann’s Catholic Church, where her religious convictions were obvious. Lori, the ideal farm wife, put her family’s needs first by working long hours with little to no rest. Lori has made it her life’s work to expose her kids to a variety of sporting events, livestock shows, and other events in order to help them build excellent resumes. Lori sacrificed everything for her husband and kids. She desired to watch and take part in everything her kids did.
Lori loved to travel. Despite having three children and a husband who frequently traveled, she had her routines down, and nothing ever went wrong. She loved resting on the sand at the beach or standing in line at Disney. For advice on a wide range of subjects, including dentistry, child care, livestock knowledge, and many other things, many people from near and far consulted Lori. She was always willing to provide a hand and listen.
Trent Scholz and Lori were wed at St. Benedict’s in Atchison, Kansas, on April 24, 1993. Her descendants will continue her legacy of grit, faith, and humor. Her children include son Trent from Lancaster, Kansas, daughter Leah from Caldwell, Idaho, daughter Beba (Beau) Vowels from Camp Pendleton, California, and son Augie Scholz from Kansas. Her mother-in-law, Janice Kay Scholz, passed away before she did.
