Lee Roy Schilling Obituary, Death – On November 11, 2022, in the city of Cedar Park, Texas, Lee Roy Schilling, age 92, died away without incident. Although he was born in Winedale, Texas, he spent the majority of his childhood in Greenvine, Texas. He was a member of the United States Army and served his country in Korea after being drafted. Lee Roy worked for the Singer Sewing Machine Company in Austin for the better part of three decades, first as a salesman, then as a store manager on Congress Avenue, Capital Plaza, and Highland Mall, and last as a district manager responsible for the state’s middle and southern regions.
In 1982, he was awarded a dealership and started his own sewing machine business, which he named Northwest Sewing Center and located on Burnet Road. Customers had a tremendous deal of respect for Lee Roy, also known as the Singer Man, and placed a great deal of their faith in him. On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., funeral services will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine, which is located at 6700 Wickel Road, Burton, Texas 77835. Burial will take place after the services at La Bahia Cemetery, also located in Burton, Texas.
