Laurence Shields Obituary, Death

Laurence L. Shields, a well-liked professor at Thomas Aquinas College who had gone away unexpectedly the previous week, will be laid to rest on Saturday, November 26. The funeral service will take place earlier in the day. On Friday, November 25, there will be a funeral service held for the deceased. The memorial service for the dead person will take place on Friday, November 25, at 10:00 a.m. On that day, in addition to the celebrations that are held for the burial, there will be funeral services held in honor of the deceased. Everyone was taken aback when they heard the news a week ago that he had passed away suddenly.

At the hour of nine in the morning, there will be a recitation of the rosary taking place in the chapel on the California campus that is dedicated to Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity. After this, at 9:30 in the morning, there will be a funeral liturgy for the person who has recently passed away. Following the burial, which will take place at Santa Paula Cemetery, friends and family are kindly requested to come to campus for a luncheon, which will take place at St. Joseph Commons. The lunch will be served in memory of the person who has passed away.

The Shields family requests that in lieu of sending flowers, friends and other members of the community think about making a donation to the College in Laurence Shields’s honor.
