Kevin Pineda Obituary, Death – On November 9, 2022, at the age of 29, Dr. Kevin Charles Pineda, DO died unexpectedly. Kevin was born in New York City but has spent the majority of his life in New Milford. He went to David Owens Middle School in New Milford. Kevin went on to attend Bergen Technical High School in Teterboro, New Jersey. In 2014, he received his Cum Laude in Bio-Medical Engineering from the College of New Jersey. Kevin would get his Cum Laude degree from the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown, New York, in 2019, after finishing his undergraduate studies at The College of New Jersey.

Dr. Kevin finished his first-year residency at Morristown Medical Center after graduating from medical school. Dr. Kevin was a fourth-year Physician Resident at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange at the time. Dr. Johana Zambrano, DO, his devoted wife, his sister Dana-Kristie Pineda, brothers John Paul Pineda, Jeremy Nel Pineda, and Joseph Emman Pineda, as well as many relatives, friends, and colleagues, survive him. Kevin will be remembered as a compassionate soul who listened to the concerns of those around him and acted as a rock for many.

He was able to bridge and connect various friendships with his easygoing demeanor; he was able to break down walls, providing a sense of comfort and refuge for others. Because of his outgoing attitude and sense of humour, he is easily recognized. Empathy and compassion came easy to him, and his kind demeanor complemented his extremely astute intellect and devotion to his vocation. He worked tirelessly in all aspects of his life, from his marriage to Johana, his father Leonilo, his mother Grace, his sister Dana, and his friends, to medicine and competitive (but always joyful) video games with his pals.

Kevin would never settle for anything less than his full potential, whether from himself or others. Kevin saw our potential and set high expectations for his friends and families, motivating us to be better people in his presence. Kevin’s continual energy, strong determination, and amazing compassion inspired us to follow him and attain our full potential, and his memory will inspire us to do so in the future. There is no greater way to pay tribute to him.

Visitors are invited to attend visiting hours at Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford, NJ, on Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The next morning, Tuesday, at 10 a.m., a Funeral Mass will be said in his honor at the Church of the Ascension in New Milford. Dr. Kevin will be put to rest at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Soldier Hill Road, Paramus, NJ, following the Funeral Mass.
