Kendall Murphy Obituary, Death – On Friday, Kendall Murphy, who lived in Montgomery, passed away after a long battle with cancer. Dwayne and Katrina (Lengacher) Murphy, who were overjoyed to become parents for the first time, celebrated the arrival of their son on May 10 in Vincennes, Indiana. Kendall received her graduation from Barr-Reeve High School in 2009, and a bachelor’s degree in sports management from the University of Southern Indiana in 2013. Both of these accomplishments were presented to Kendall. In 2013, Kendall received her degrees from both of these institutions.
One of his jobs was at German American Bank, where he was an insurance agent. Another one of his jobs was at Country Oaks Golf Course, where he worked part-time. Both of these places were among the places where he was employed. When the season began, he was beginning his fifth season as the basketball coach at Barr-Reeve High School. This would be his fifth season coaching there overall. The combined time that Kendall spent as a member and volunteer with the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department was two years. He was highly active within the Providence Mennonite Church, which he attended on a consistent basis for the services.
His preferred teams in golf, baseball (Cincinnati Reds), college football (Notre Dame Fighting Irish), and college basketball (Kansas Jayhawks). His maternal great-grandparents, Herman and Agnes Stoll, as well as his paternal great-grandparents, Menno and Lydia Lengacher, passed away first, followed by his paternal great-grandparents, Brenda Milton and Fred and Loretta Murphy. His paternal great-grandparents were born in Herman and Agnes Stoll and Menno and Lydia Le He was the final surviving member of his family.
Kendall is survived by his parents, Dwayne and Katrina Murphy of Montgomery; his fiancée, Jessica Padgett of Loogootee; his sister, Kelsie (Eric) Miller of Washington; his nieces Emma and Halle Miller; his maternal grandparents, Bert and Barbara Lengacher and paternal grandparents, Steve and Jean Murphy, all of Montgomery; his uncles, Shawn Murphy of Montgomery and Rick (Jan) Lengacher of Goshen; his aunt.
