Katherine Anderson Obituary, Death – Katherine Anderson, who was 68 years old at the time of her passing on Thursday, passed away. On January 30, 1954, she was born in Milwaukee to her late parents, Leo and Sally (Kwasniewski) Ledzian. Her parents have since passed away. Her mother and father have both passed away since then. Kathy was a Prayer Warrior at St. Michael Episcopal Church, and it was there that she developed friendships with other members of the Prayer Warriors that would continue on for the rest of her life. Her favorite things to do included making Christmas cookies, watching the Green Bay Packers on Sundays while eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, playing Scrabble on Friday nights, and watching the Green Bay Packers.
She found the greatest joy in being a MeeMaw to her granddaughters and cherishing the time she got to spend with them. Her behavior reflected compassion and introspection, in addition to the fact that she was an ever-present optimist. Kathy’s job as a Certified Medical Research Coordinator allowed her to use her naturally helpful nature to the benefit of others, and this allowed her to experience a high level of personal fulfillment in her work. Those who are bereaved by Kathy’s death include her daughter Sara (along with her husband Geoff), her granddaughters Reina and Gemma, her brother John (along with his wife Dorothy), her nieces and nephews John, Michelle, Mary, Michael, and Christopher, her brother-in-law Alan (along with his wife Mary), and her cousin Tommy.
Also left behind is Kathy’s brother John, who is survived by his wife Dorothy. Her older brother Paul had already passed away prior to her passing away. On Saturday, visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until the start of the service at 12:00 PM at St. Michael Episcopal Church, which is located at 4701 Erie Street in Racine. The address of the church is 4701 Erie Street. The private interment service will take place at the St. Martin of Tours Cemetery in Franklin. Instead of sending flowers, Kathy’s family would appreciate it if you would consider making a contribution to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance in her honor. The wonderful medical care that Kathy received at Froedtert Hospital from the compassionate staff there is something that the family would like to express their gratitude for.
