Joye Braun Obituary, Death -Joye Braun (Wambli Wiyakawin), a dear friend and fellow warrior, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home yesterday. I am delivering this information to you with a heavy heart because I am aware of the impact that it will have on you. I haven’t quite recovered from the shock yet, and as a consequence, I’m feeling a profound sense of loss right now. I am still not over the shock and have not recovered.
She was a ferocious fighter and an unabashed lover of her people and the lands that she defended, and she was one of the most ferocious lovers of her people that I have ever known. She was also one of the fiercest lovers of the lands that she defended. Joye was a leader and a guiding voice in the fight to stop the expansion of fossil fuels and false solutions. She was also a pioneer in the field.
She was one of the first people in the field. She was the epitome of what it means to be a “water protector” and exemplified each and every admirable quality that is associated with that role. She passed away recently.
My thoughts and prayers are with her children, her mother, and the entire community of Tiospaye at this time. Kindly be aware that I will be thinking of you and praying for you.
She was my sister when things were going wrong, but when she was angry, she was a raging inferno.
However, there was never any question in anyone’s mind regarding her dedication to ensuring the safety of the future, and I admired that quality in her. There was never any doubt in anyone’s mind regarding her commitment to ensuring the safety of the future. It is still very difficult for me to accept the fact that she has passed away because she was such a dedicated organizer.
