Joshua Pence obituary, Death -Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandson, and friend died in a tragic accident near Leamington, UT on Tuesday, October 20, 2022. Josh and his twin brother were born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Joseph Walter Spencer, Jr. and Beverly Bagwell Spencer. Josh grew up in Canon City, Colorado, where he married Megan Marie Shade in 2013. They were married in the Payson, Utah temple in June of 2019. He lived his life to the fullest by working hard, playing hard, and serving others.
Josh was a dedicated employee who loved his job as an electrical foreman at Hunt Electric, Inc. Above all, he cared about his family. He used his many skills, talents, and energy to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving home for Megan and his young daughter. He loved working with horses and had competed in numerous rodeos and team roping events throughout his life, most recently winning their first jackpot with Megan. For seven years, he and Megan worked as referees for many high school basketball games in Colorado and Utah.
Josh’s mother, Beverly Spencer, died before him. His wife, Megan Marie Spencer; daughter, Bryn Lee Spencer; father, Joseph W. Spencer, Jr. (Michele); siblings Jay Spencer (Marilee), Jeffrey Spencer (Joie), Katherine Cameron (David), KayLynn Hann (Jared), Kristen Spencer, Korinne Spencer, and Jesse Spencer (Aubree); parents-in-law Samuel and Melinda Shade; sister-in-law Amanda Shade; grandmother Gloria Spencer; grandfather Bob Pyne Many cherished nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends survive him. We are grateful to Josh’s adopted hometown of Delta, Utah, as well as family, friends, and community members, for their love and support.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at the Gunnison Bend Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 188 North Main Street, Hinckley, UT, with internment to follow at the Delta City Cemetery, under the direction of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home.
