Josette Richardson Obituary, Death – Josette Ripbarry Richardson has passed away. Because my father died when I was only one year old, I avoided the experience of grieving the death of a parent when I was old enough to understand what was going on. As a result, I am at a loss for words. What should I say to four small children whose mother died recently? I can’t think of anything to say. I had no doubt in my mind that I loved them and will always adore them. Josette Ripbarry Richardson and I went through the same ups and downs as any other young mother, but I would never wish anything unpleasant on her.
She told me multiple times that if Ariana needed anything, I should let her know, and she knew that if I needed anything from her, she should do the same for her and her babies. Despite my anguish for the children, I know they are being supported by their father and me. I simply hope that God gives us the strength to confront them. We ask God to grant us the ability to find the right words to comfort them on difficult days and nights. I’m at a loss for words, but as the population of Jermaine and my house grows from four to seven… Please pray for her children, family, mother, siblings, friends, and myself as we adjust to our new reality.
Instead of focusing on our differences, I’ll remember the great conversations we had and the words of encouragement you shared with me… Whatever happens, Josette, you can always count on me to be there for them as “BM.” You are aware of all of our good conversations, as well as the occasions when we expressed our love for one another and addressed various situations. They are as valuable to me as the two children I gave birth to. I embraced and loved them as if they were my own because I was with their father before I had my own two children, so there will be no changes.
