Joseph Adair Obituary, Death – On November 8, 2022, at the age of 63, Joseph “Joe” Edmond Adair Jr., of Kokomo, Indiana, died at Community Howard Regional Hospital. His parents, Joseph Edmond Adair Sr. and Helen (Barlow) Adair, welcomed him into the world on September 30th, 1959, in Kokomo, Indiana. Kimberly (Lange) Adair, whom he married on June 25, 1995 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, died on October 21, 2004, his direct predecessor in death.
Joe spent his entire childhood in Howard and Tipton counties as a farmer with his father, also named Joseph. They collaborated to build Adair Farms. He competed in the Indiana Pulling League (IPL) for six years, and in 2021, he won first place in the Hot Farm Division. When Joe wasn’t caring to the farm’s requirements, he made time for his father, as well as his children and grandchildren, whom he adored. Joe delighted in telling stories to his children. He was devoted to his entire Adair family, which included his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and even second cousins. Joe’s mother, Helen, had a special place in his heart.
His grandchildren Lindsay, Emma, Aubrey, Weston, and Grady; his parents Joseph and Helen Adair; his siblings Ruth (Mike) Thompson, Terri (Les) Strunk, and bonus brother Steve (Sherri) Belcher; his cousin Brian Adair and his sons; and friends Joe Ellis and Randy Bogue. His wife, Kim, and brothers John (Arlene) Adair and Larry “Doc” Dockerty all died before him. People can pay their respects to Joe at the Tipton County 4H Building, which is situated at 1200 S. Main St. in Tipton, Indiana 46072, on Monday, November 14, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 1 p.m. Pastor Brad Swain will preside over the event.
