┬áJohn Palmour Obituary, Death – We regret to notify you of the passing of John Palmour, who served as our Chief Technology Officer. It is with a sad heart that we share this news with you. It is with deep regret that we must be the ones to deliver the bad news to you, but we feel compelled to do so. Because of this awful tragedy, each and every member of the Wolfspeed family is in a state of complete and utter shock and despair. John has been in control of the organization from the very beginning, and he has guided them through their whole history with brilliance, humor, honesty, and passion no matter how long they have existed.

John, who was not only one of the founders of our company but also a highly successful technologist, was a fervent supporter of implementing silicon carbide in a wide range of different businesses and fields of endeavor. This support stemmed from John’s belief that silicon carbide could be used to improve performance in a variety of settings. John’s conviction that silicon carbide could be implemented to enhance performance in a variety of contexts was a major factor in the development of this support. As a direct result of the efforts that he exerted, the standard of living for a considerable number of people was able to improve as a direct result of those efforts.

John has made contributions to science and our planet that are incalculable and will continue to have an influence for a great many years to come, even beyond the scope of Wolfspeed. These contributions will also continue to have an impact beyond the jurisdiction of Wolfspeed. The repercussions of these contributions will even extend beyond the purview of Wolfspeed in the future. During this trying time, we would like to offer John’s family our most sincere condolences on behalf of our management team as well as each and every one of our workers here at the firm. We send these condolences on behalf of each and every one of our employees here at the company.
