He passed away at the John Peter Smith Hospital at 1:34 in the morning on Wednesday as a result of the multiple gunshot wounds he sustained. During the course of their investigation, the authorities did not report any law enforcement officers being hurt in any way.

At approximately 12:40 in the morning on Wednesday, a situation involving gunfire took place close to a QuikTrip in the 2501 NE 28th St. neighborhood of north Fort Worth.
