Joe Vollmer Obituary, Death – On Friday, February 15, 2019, Joseph P. Vollmer Jr., age 61, of Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at his home. Genevieve M. (Loro) and the late Joseph P. Vollmer Sr. welcomed their son into the world on October 4th, 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Joe’s son, brother, and two nephews all shared Joe’s passion for fishing at the Jersey Shore. The annual trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show with his daughter was something he looked forward to with great anticipation.
Joe was a serious music aficionado who had a passion for both playing the guitar and attending live performances. He enjoyed spending time with his union brothers and sisters while working as a stagehand for IATSE Local 8 in Chicago. In addition to drawing and painting, Joe enjoyed spending time with his cherished grand dog Sophie as well as cooking on his grill.
He is survived by his mother Genevieve, his wife Linda (nee: Bellano), his son Joseph III (Kristin), his daughter Angela, his sisters Rosemary and Genay (Francis), his brother David (Yvette), as well as a large number of brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Joe’s viewing will take place on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 10:00am at the O’Leary Funeral Home located at 640 E Springfield Rd, Springfield, Pennsylvania 19064, and his funeral service will take place at 12:00pm in the funeral home.
