Jean Heatherington Obituary, Death – HETHERINGTON, JEAN MARIE (nee CRABB) The loss of our much loved mother, Jean, who died away on September 30, 2022, at the age of 89, is something that has left all of us in a state of profound depression. Leaving behind grandchildren Ashley (husband Scott), Jeff (fiancee Aantu), Andrew (fiancee Kelsey), Brenna (husband Dave), Jake, and Ben, as well as great-grandchildren Hannah, Taylor, Matthew, Mason, Sienna, Jayde, Hamish, and Campbell. Leaving behind daughters Debra (husband Mark), Kim (husband Craig), and Susan (husband Rob).
Mom attended Moulton College throughout her high school years, which she fondly remembers from her time there during her childhood while in the neighborhood of Leaside. She was particularly proud of the fact that in her final year at the school, she was selected to serve as Head Girl. This brought her a lot of happiness. When Mom was finally able to have a kid of her own, she had the epiphany that she had been meant to be a mother.
She was always patient and kind, as well as sensitive and supportive in the instruction that she provided, and she offered all three of these qualities. She adored every second of her role as a grandmother, which eventually expanded to include that of a great-grandmother. Throughout the course of her life, she discovered that being with her loved ones offered her the greatest amount of happiness. Over the years, our family has gathered at her houses in Sandford and Uxbridge to share many happy holidays and get-togethers.
Her residences are located in both of those towns. Wherever Mom dwelt, it felt like home. We are comforted by the thought that our mother is no longer subject to the anguish that she endured as a result of Alzheimer’s disease, which has taken away many years of our lives. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our appreciation to the staff at Fairview Lodge in Whitby for the high-quality medical attention that they gave to our mother during the latter years of her life. The task of ensuring that all of the appropriate preparations are made has been given over to the care of the Low & Low Funeral Home, which can be found at 23 Main Street South, Box 388, Uxbridge, Ontario L9P 1M8 (905-852-3073).
