Wittenberg of Royal Oak The passing of Judge Wittenberg, who had lived in Berkley and was 48 years old, occurred unexpectedly early on Sunday morning. According to a post on the 44th District Court’s official Facebook page, the court has suffered a tragic loss with the passing of Judge Jamie Wittenberg, who was both a wonderful leader and a dear friend. “He was a gift to all of us, and there are so many things to say in honor of a guy whose life deserves to be celebrated and whose legacy he helped to construct. There are so many words to say in celebration of a man who was a gift to all of us.”
The judge leaves behind a wife and four children, all of whom will feel a profound loss upon his passing. Many people, including his daughters Arielle Wittenberg, Talia Wittenberg, Brooke Wittenberg, and Maya Wittenberg, as well as his parents, Mollie Wittenberg and Howard Wittenberg, and his siblings Jodie Heicklen (Gary) and Robert Wittenberg, loved and appreciated him. On Tuesday, November 22nd 2022, a shiva will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM; on Wednesday, November 23rd 2022, a shiva will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM; and on Thursday, November 24th 2022, a shiva will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
