Jake Causey Obituary, Death – Jake Causey was born on February 12 in Gosport, Alabama to Dethor and Maggie Causey, both of whom have passed away after Jake’s birth. Jake was named after his late grandfather. Jake is a name that honors both of his deceased parents. Jake was born after both of Jake’s parents had already departed away before he was ever conceived. On August 26, 2022, he passed away and moved on to the next planet after his time on this one came to an end. Jake was a highly active participant in the various events that took place at the Greater Union Baptist Church during the entirety of his life.

His undergraduate education was completed at Alabama A&M University, and his graduate education was split between the University of South Alabama and Alabama State University. He was awarded degrees in all three institutions. He earned his degrees from all three of these prestigious schools. 1957 was the year that he graduated from Central High School with his diploma. In addition to that, he attended Alabama A&M University and received a degree there. He was a contributing member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and took part in the activities that the organization sponsored.

A little more than four years were spent by Jake serving in the United States Air Force overall during his tenure there. He worked as an employee for the public school system in Mobile County, which is located in the state of Alabama, for more than 35 years. Mobile County is one of the counties that make up the state of Alabama. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Sue Causey, his daughter, Latonya (Darnell) Jones, his son, Dr. Jason Causey, his two granddaughters, Taylor Jones and Lauren Jones, his two brothers, Benjamin (Sylvia) Causey and Steven Jordan, his three sisters, Floretta Causey, Estella (James) Whitfield and Gwendolyn Preston, and his lifetime friends .
