Heather Anderson Obituary, Death – Due to the sudden passing of Heather Anderson, 28, a former player for the Adelaide Crows, the Australian Football League (AFL) would like to express its heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. Heather Anderson was a member of the Adelaide Crows. All of us here will miss Heather very much since she was a member of the team who was liked and respected by everyone else, and she will be profoundly missed by all of us.
In 2016, the Adelaide Crows made history when they selected Heather Anderson, a player from the Northern Territory, in the first round of their selection. Anderson is the first player from the Northern Territory to be selected by an Australian football team. Anderson was the first player ever selected to represent the Northern Territory in any sport at any level. The fearless defender competed in eight matches over the course of the 2017 NAB AFLW season, one of which was the match that determined the champion of the 2017 NAB AFLW. She was one of the players who helped her team claim the championship.
