Harold Wright Obituary, Death – Harold “Harry” “Hairman” Wright, 59, died at Washington Court House on Thursday, November 10, 2022. He was born on October 1, 1963, as the son of John Wright and Roma (Clark) Wright. Harry enrolled at Wright State University after graduating from Madison Plains High School to further his education. Harry was a member of the choir at the First Presbyterian Church of London and worked as a cook at the Well and Horney’s BBQ.
He was a professional radio personality for WCHO and WVNU, as well as a television personality for WCHC. Harry was involved in a number of charitable organizations and charities, including the Masonic Lodge, Fayette County Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Special Olympics, My Sister’s House, and others. He was a dedicated member of the community and had previously received the Fayette County Hometown Hero Award.
His parents, John and Roma Wright, siblings Pat Bennett, Gaylene Robinson, Phyllis Callender, Mary Longberry, Barb Brakeall, Bill Wright, and Roy Wright, nephews Jeromy Swyers and Eric Welsh, and cherished friends Deena and Ashlee Townsend all died before him. Roy Wright, his son, survives him. His children are Melissa (Chris) Brakefield, Jessica (Virgie) Cox, Jennifer Wright, Michael Cox, Pete Cox, Jacob (Jesika) Cox, and Kate Cox; grandkids Cayli Rowe, Logan Cox, Darren Cox, and Christian Cox; and great-grandchildren Ty Rowe and Cayne Rowe.
A funeral ceremony will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 211 Garfield Avenue, London, Ohio 43140, on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. The event will be presided over by Pastor Desiree Youngblood. The service will be followed by interment at the South Solon Cemetery. Visitors are welcome at EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We are located at 103 North Main Street in London. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Madison Plains High School Marching Band, 800 Linson Road, London, Ohio 43140, in lieu of flowers.
