Greg Smith Obituary, Death – We regret to inform you that Greg Smith has passed away. Greg has logged more than 7000 hours as a dedicated volunteer at the ReStore since 2015. He was an electrician by trade and enjoyed making things work in the ReStore shop. Greg enjoyed to tackle electrical issues that most people would shy away from, and he wouldn’t give up until the issue was resolved. Greg enjoyed reminiscing about his happy childhood experiences flying with his father and his love of becoming an electrician at Esso, where he eventually retired as an Electrical Supervisor. He frequently recalled spending time at the family home in Parry Sound, where he could unwind and go fishing while escaping the rush of city life.
Greg was a friendly person who always made time to talk to everyone at the ReStore and crack a joke or two to make them laugh. “Greg was a fantastic volunteer in our hardworking team. Every day he worked here, he demonstrated his dedication to Habitat and the ReStore. Shelby Derby, the volunteer coordinator, said of him, “He will be sorely missed.
