Grace Stephenson Obituary, Death – Estella Grace Stephenson passed away in a calm and peaceful manner on Monday, March 28, 2022, at the age of 88. She was surrounded by her children during the final moments of her life. Before she was born on July 19, 1933 in Hampshire, Tennessee, she was her parents Tommy G. Jones, Sr. and Myrtle Jones’ only child. Sadly, both of her parents had passed away before she was born. In addition to being a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend to a large number of people, Grace was first and foremost a devout Child of God.
On Friday, April 8, 2022, between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00 pm, members of the general public are welcome to attend the V.K. Ryan & Son Funeral Home to visit the deceased person. On Saturday, visitation will take place at the Glass Street Church of Christ from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The church may be found at 500 Glass Street in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee 38474. The funeral service will begin at 12 noon, immediately following the visitation that will take place prior to that time. The funeral service and interment will be held at Hunter Cemetery.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Stephenson; her parents, Tommy G. Jones, Sr. and Myrtle Jones; her sister, Annie Florence Garner; her brother, Tommy G. Jones, Jr.; and her son, Glenn Douglas Blue. Grace also had a sister, Annie Florence Garner, and a brother, Tommy G. Jones, Jr. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her son, Glenn Douglas Blue.
Grace is survived by her daughters Edith (William) Ransom of Lansing, Illinois, Sandy (Stacy) Turntine of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, and Dana (Anthony) Brooks of Pulaski, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Gail Mitchell, Brandon Mitchell, Darrell (Mus) Tate, Moesha Tall, Ja’Va Blue, Konica Hughes, James Blue, and Aniya Brooks; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great
